24 on 26th

When I was 10 years old I dreamt of being 16. When I was 16 I desperately wanted to be 20. Last year I dreaded my upcoming Birthday. I wish I were 10 years old again.

But unfortunately we must grow up.

It doesn’t have to suck if you make each year, everywhere a memorable one. That's so cliché. What I really mean is not forgetting to live, to be happy, to smile, to make an impact and to do things outside your comfort zone. I’m learning and trying to do things that are beyond my comfort - we only really live once, how dreadful it would be if we didn’t utilize all the time and opportunities we have.

Beauty Products: New Year Edition

What better way to start the New Year than with new beauty products!

1. & 2. Korres (pronounced Kor-res): I've fallen in love with Korres since purchasing the Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial. This night cream works wonders. It leaves my skin smooth, even and looking healthy in the morning. Reading excellent reviews on the Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream I decided to buy it since I was almost out of my day cream. With only a small amount, Wild Rose keeps my face moisturized during these harsh winter weather and my acne scars appear to be fading. The only thing I would complain about is that it doesn't have SPF. Boo!

3. Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush (Rose Initale): Everyone needs one good blush in their makeup kit and Chanel's Powder Blush does the trick! Its formula allows you to build the colour for a more intense tone at night but keeping it looking natural!

4. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo: Eyebrows are sisters not twins! The Ebony duo is perfect for those with black hair. You can use both colours ~ the lightest I use for the inner parts of my brows and the darker shade, the ends of my brows. A little goes a long way and remember to blend!

5. Bobbi Brown Corrector: I swear by Bobbi Brown's Corrector. I've tried quite a few drug store and high-end concealers/corrector and nothing can do the job like this product. The shade Peach perfectly conceals my dark under-eye circles leaving no traces of my late nights or no sleep nights. I then blend Nars' Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard on top and set it with a lose powder.

6. Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue: Okay so I raved about Marcelle's Hydra-C Eye Roll-On before and as much as I enjoyed it it started to give off a really strong and bad odour. I decided to buy Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Morning Eye Rescue after reading great reviews on it. A little goes a long way and pat pat pat with your ring fingers morning and night! This stuff leaves my under-eye looking moisturized, hydrated and most importantly, rested! I also love the fact that this product is fragrance free!

I'm excited to see what my favourite makeup brands has in store this 2014!

"You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change."

A powerful quote to start the new year. Take more chances, say "I love you" more often, step outside of your comfort zone and do more of what makes you happy!

Grow, love, learn and live. 2013 was a year ago. More forward!

Dreams ~ xo

We are often afraid to take risks and we miss opportunities we should have taken. When we were young we dreamed of what we wanted to be. Sometimes our dreams changed and we aspired to be something else. But what's important is that we never forgot to dream. Dreams and aspirations allow us to grow, to be somebody and ultimately to share our passion. When a dream is crystal clear we become driven, persistent and passionate. When life throws us curve balls we lose path of our direction. But those who stay persistent and focus know that no matter what happens and no matter what it takes, nothing can bring them down or break them from reaching their dreams.

This 2014 I encourage you to continue to follow your dreams, goals, aspirations or something you simply want to accomplish. Whatever they may be it's important to believe and to know that anything is possible when you are persistent, positive and passionate. Our goals and aspirations are not dictated by others judgements or opinions. Don't let anyone bring you down.

My friends, there is nothing is more inspiring then watching someone follow their dreams wholeheartedly and with confidence.

Dear love,

I wish you nothing but the best and may all your dreams come a live.
Inspire and be inspired in your journey.
This is your time.
Shine on Superstar, the world awaits you.

Dream always,

Hello Fall!

The hiatus is over! Hello beautiful people!

We're about to dive into fall and I'm excited! It's one of my favourite season besides spring. I'm back finishing the last two semesters of my program and the trees have lost their leaves! So here's what's new:

Leather jackets are essentials. A black leather jacket is essential. They go with just about any outfit and are super chic. This slim fit, smooth lamb leather with ribbed knit detailing is my go-to and hangs proudly in my closet. Pair that with these great ankle boots and you are good to go! I love knee high boots but ankle boots are just as stylish. I usually dress mine up with a pair of black jeans. Black jeans... don't get me started. If I can wear just black everyday I totally would.

Sweats are becoming my essentials for the fall and I'm foreseeing this for next season and so forth. They are too comfy and hey, you can totally make sweats look super fab. Think: white crew neck long sleeve, light washed jean jacket, white Keds or Converse and maybe soft curls. Can you picture it? Joe Fresh has an amazing selection of sweat pants for dirt cheap if you must know! They also carry my favourite style of sweater for the season, the waffle sweater. I wish I can own waffle sweaters in every darn colour!

I also began my journey (literally just today) of finding the best of the best for my skin. The cold months really take a toll on my skin. So here we have:

I wanted to start using a toner again so I decided to try Origins' A Perfect World Age Defense Treatment Lotion with White Tea. I usually do my research, make sure that there aren't too many bad chemicals in the mix and read plenty of reviews before I make any skin product purchase. This Origins product received excellent reviews but let me give this product a week before I can fully judge it. I also wanted to grab a night time moisturizer. I usually use Coco-Butter but soon figured out it was too greasy for me. Then there was Korres' Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing  Sleeping Facial. First impression: fantastic! But again let me give this product a week.

We use over hands everyday and I don't know about you but my hands become so dry especially around the cuticles. So if I don't take care of them, they're an ugly sight to see. I came across Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream and decided to try it out. A month later I'm still loving this product. It does what its suppose to do! Now last but not least, I have two friends that seem never to want to go away. Marcelle's Hydra-C Eye Roll-On does the trick. I've been using this for about a month and it's helped brighten my dark under-eye circles, yay!
